emma mahil counselling awarded £3000 business grant!
Emma Mahil Counselling has just been awarded a £3000 grant from the Sir Thomas White Loan Charity! The charity have a £50k grant available, and each business was able to apply for a maximum of £5000. 113 businesses applied and only 24 were successful, with Emma Mahil Counselling being one of them!
The money I have received is going to be utilised for the following:
- Advanced training in Pregnancy and Infant Loss through the Foundation for Infant Loss
- Advanced training in Couples Therapy - specifically Domestic Violence, Suicide Risk, Infidelity and Substance Misuse in Relationships
- Marketing in local newsletters and paid advertising on Social Media, to reach a wider audience and be able to help more clients in need of mental health support
- Support with website development
- Office equipment and stationery, to offer a more professional service for remote clients in particular
- Additional room hire, to offer more face to face sessions in the local area of North Leicestershire

Thanks so much to GHP for this award - it's amazing to have received an award for the second consecutive year in a row, in only the second year of my private Counselling Business being established!
The Counselling industry is saturated with counsellors, so to achieve this award and to be able to stand out from the crowd is a huge privilege. It also helps future clients to gain trust in my work, giving them the confidence to take their first step toward therapy, which isn't easy!
